- Thank you for sending the two slides. They look just as good as the originals. I guess the tiff files work great for reproducing. Is there some way I can calibrate my screen as the images do not look as good on the monitor as they do on the output. By the way I have not had a chance to print out the two files. Please let me know also if the slide were made from the two jpeg files that I sent to you or were they printed from files you had on record. This interests me as I downgraded the quality of the files to make them manageable to send. It's good to have learned first hand that all the information is honest and true. I'm a digital artist and need the slides for exhibitions and juried competitions. (Yes, it's ironic that even digital fine art competitions still want slides to review images!) I was particularly concerned about color and quality. While colors don't have to be exact for many types of slide presentations, they do have to match the original artwork for artist's slides. - In the interest of time, I was going to forget about the numbering, thinking that the admissions committees of these schools I'm applying to will care more about my work than my inelegant hand-numbering, but when I looked at the slides on a projector this evening, I noticed that a few had noticeable, long horizontal scratches on them. On one particular slide it was unsettling, and there's no way I can submit this to a graduate program without my looking bad in the process. I would like you to reprint just these few slides -- once you look at them on a slide projector, you will see what I mean. I will also send you two of the three sets back for renumbering. The third set I need for RISD's deadline tomorrow. I will mark the slides, but note that the numbering on the very first set you did was fine, and should also follow the filenames of the Photoshop files I submitted. I understand that I am not to be charged for this additional work because neither of these problems originated from my end. Also, I need the reworked slides back as soon as possible. If I miss a school application deadline because I had to have slides sent back for redoing, I will be very disappointed to say the least. I hope you will take this request seriously; I have already paid over $400 for your company's services. Let me know if you have questions or issues. - Thank you very much for your willingness to make the adjustment. I think that is the sign of a good business man when you can work something out with a client. Why don't we just split the difference and make it a $10.00 credit. In my day job, which is actually aerial photography and mapping services, I get confronted with these issues from your side of the table as well. I think I may take a look and see if I can make a suggestion, not criticism. I am putting a web site together myself and know it is not a simple thing. One thing that I am confused about is the issue of duplicate originals vs. copies. In the digital world, what is the difference? I would think it is all printed the same. Yesterday, I was thinking about your web site and realized that if a fee could be displayed before the order button is pushed we may not be having this conversation. That price tag would have been a major red flag to me that I did something wrong. That would probably be a major web site re-write, though. - Please call me when this job is ready, and I will drive up there to pick them up. These slides are for student AP art submissions that must be assembled and mailed to Princeton by noon on Friday. Fortunately, we are not far away from Harleysville! It can be as late as Thursday if you need the extra time, but Wednesday would be better if possible as this will make everyone a lot less nervous! We have used your service before, for college admissions slides, and I am pleased to report that my daughter was accepted to every school she applied to with that slide portfolio and was offered up to $40,000 in scholarships, so we're confident the quality will be the same. - When my slides arrived, I was wondering what I might find inside the envelop. The slides were neatly placed inside a a proective pocket sheet! The plastic light and dark slide frames are easy to handle, and they are easy to write information onto. Thank you so much for doing a great job on my slides!
