35mm SLIDE DUPLICATION

A 35mm slide duplicate is a same-size copy of an existing slide which you provide us. We use Kodak E-dupe slide duplicating film for all orders for duplicate 35mm slides. We can make exact same-size, slightly enlarged-size, or slightly reduced-size copies, as well as correct minor color shifts. We offer high quality Ektachrome duplicates only - we do not make the extremely low cost negative-positive slide dupes using motion picture film that some labs offer. If you are looking for the cheapest price, slide film that fades, slide mounts that let the film move around, then please look elsewhere.

The cost is $2.99 per dupe. Standard service is four days in house; add 50% to these prices for two-day turnaround and 100% for same-day turnaround.

Exact color matching from original film other than Ektachrome may not be possible, but can be attempted for additional charges.

When you submit slides, we are sometimes unable to tell which is the front of the image. We rely on things such as marks on the mount, the colors of the front and back of the mount, impressions on the mount which say "this side toward screen", etc. However, sometimes slides have been re-mounted, or you want the lettering to be a mirror-image. The best way to insure your slides are duped the correct way is to mark each one "Front" on the front side. It is also a good idea to put your name on each slide, and to mark the quantity of dupes required on each slide if there are varying quantities in your order.

Thin plastic Quickpoint 35mm slide mounts with a white front and a grey rear are standard, and mounts with different rear colors are available at extra cost.

Photographic Specialties is no longer producing slides and transparencies. I have been self-employed for 35 years, but looking forward to retirement since my wife died five years ago. With the decline of conventional photography and the recent recession, the availability of film and chemicals as well as the volume of work has declined to such an extent that it is no longer possible to have fresh chemicals to develop film. I hope that if you still need conventional slides and transparencies, you will be able to find someone who can produce them for you. Thank you for your orders over the years.
